The High Court today quashed a 10 year ASBO which was imposed by Hull Magistrates Court on Christopher Perry, 66, in relation to postings which he made on his blog 'Woldseye view' about the residents of Wetwang in Yorkshire.

The Court found that the District Judge had been “perfunctory and dismissive” in his consideration of Mr Perry's right of freedom of expression under Article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights.

Mr Perry was represented by Laura Higgs of Bindmans LLP and Brigid Baillie of Garden Court North Chambers.
