GCN's Andy Fitzpatrick will address the Manchester conference (on 21.10.16) on the subject of "Best Practice in Early Case Preparation". Andy has a background as a solicitor for 20 years before being called to the bar, and so approaches this subject from the perspective of both counsel and instructing solicitor. He is a fearless advocate with a particular interest in civil liberties cases and most recently represented 22 families in the Hillsborough inquests (2014-2016) before returning to his criminal practice.
At the London conference (on 28.10.16) GCN's Richard Brigden will provide his insight into "Police Station interviewing" and "Magistrates Court skills". Richard is a criminal defence advocate with an excellent reputation. His Crown Court practice is complemented by his specialist work with protestor client groups appearing most recently in a number of high profile anti-fracking cases and it is particularly from his experience this field of practice where he has honed the tips and tactics he will present.
