Ann Cotcher QC spoke at the CLFS Crime Conference in Manchester today on the subject of anonymity for the accused in sexual offences.

Ann joined GCN as a door tenant in April 2016.  She has an excellent reputation and has accrued extensive experience in representing clients across the spectrum of criminal law offences but with particular emphasis on murder, child abuse, sexual offences and drugs cases.

Ann spoke at the CLFS Conference on the effectiveness (or otherwise) of current anonymity protocols and suggested proposals for change in relation to pre or post charge anonymity.  Anne also referred to details of her relevant case, in which she is instructed by the male party, which is widely reported in the tabloids as the  "Waterloo sex QC" case.
