GCN's Kate Stone has written a post this month on the Oxford Human Rights Law Blog about the recent entry into force of the Arms Trade Treaty on 24th December 2014, a milestone which has been widely acclaimed by campaigners and human rights organisations.

Kate Stone has a particular interest in public international law and recently completed a Masters in International Human Rights Law from the University of Oxford. She is a contributor to the Arms Trade Treaty Legal Response Network (ATT Legal), a project of Control Arms that provides pro bono legal assistance to civil society organisations, UN delegations and government officials in order to facilitate the effective implementation of the Arms Trade Treaty.
