Cheltenham Literature Festival – VOICEBOX: Know Your Rights

Garden Court North’s Christian Weaver will be speaking at The Times and Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival, as part of the VOICEBOX: Know Your Rights event on 12 October 2025 at 2:45pm.

Christian will share insights on how individuals can ensure they claim their full legal rights, speaking from his experiences in inquest and public inquiry law, and his book ‘The Law in 60 Seconds: A Pocket Guide to Your Rights’.

Christian’s work representing the family of Awaab Ishak in the nationwide push for Awaab’s Law saw him named a 2025 Big Issue Changemaker.

At the VOICEBOX session, Christian will be joined by Patsy Stevenson, who became a powerful voice for gender equality after an image of her being arrested at Sarah Everard’s vigil sparked national outrage. The pair will chat to Adele Zeynep Walton about knowing your rights, understanding the law and using your voice to create change. The session will be followed by a book signing.

Cheltenham Literature Festival will take place from 10-19 October 2025, with more than 400 events and 500 speakers scheduled. More information and tickets are available here.
