Available to view now: Sex, Relationships and the Court of Protection webinar

Our free webinar Sex, Relationships and the Court of Protection can be viewed at the bottom of this page. The content will be available to view for three months from the date of the event.

The Court of Protection often has to grapple with the most intimate aspects of a person’s private and family life. Sometimes the focus is on whether P has the capacity to make decisions about sex or personal relationships. Sometimes it’s whether a proposed course of action would break the criminal law. Finding the right outcome can be a difficult process and require sensitivity and humanity, as well as intellectual clarity.

Ben McCormack and Helen Curtis of our Court of Protection team both have significant experience of working in cases where these issues arise, and in this seminar will give an update as to the current state of the law and practice.

The Sex, Relationships and the Court of Protection webinar is part of our collaborative series with DG Legal.

Each of Garden Court North Chambers’ specialist teams deliver a programme of seminars throughout the year that cover a range of topics designed to provide practitioners with expert knowledge and learning.

Our seminars can be delivered both remotely via Zoom or MS teams and in our purpose built training suite, which is located in Manchester city centre and is close to all major transport links.

We also provide bespoke in-house seminars to organisations who would like specific training and our members work with other external organisations to deliver a range of seminars and events throughout the year.

To discuss your training needs and for more information please contact the Practice Management Team on 0161 817 6377 or at gcn@gcnchambers.co.uk.
