ILPA: Strategic Litigation Training
Garden Court North’s Tom Royston will be speaking at the Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association (ILPA) training event on strategic litigation, taking place in Leeds on Thursday 17 September.
The event, which will last from 9:30am-5pm, followed by a drinks reception at 5-6pm, will provide an introduction to strategic litigation for NGOs, as well as frontline, grassroots and community organisations.
ILPA’s Strategic Litigation Advice Committee (SLAC) project will be hosting the event, partnered with Public Law Project, Justice Together Initiative, Leigh Day and South Yorkshire Refugee Law and Justice.

The session is an excellent opportunity to learn about how the law can be used strategically to bring about change using the law. Prior legal knowledge or experience is not required to understand the topics under discussion.
Speakers:
Stephanie Hill – Chair, Leigh Day
Tom Nunn – Chair, South Yorkshire Refugee Law and Justice
Tom Royston – Garden Court North Chambers
TBC – Greater Manchester Law Centre
Rakesh Singh – Public Law Project
This is a free training course. Lunch and refreshments will be provided, and ILPA can also cover travel expenses.
