Lucy Mair shortlisted for Greater Manchester Pro Bono Awards 2026
Garden Court North is pleased to announce that our Member Lucy Mair has been shortlisted for the ‘Barrister of the Year’ Award at the Greater Manchester Pro Bono Awards 2026.
Lucy is a dedicated and passionate Member of our immigration team, practising in all areas of immigration and asylum law, with particular expertise in cases involving gender-based violence, especially for victims of human trafficking, modern slavery, and migrant victims of domestic violence.

Since the outset of Lucy’s legal career, she has prioritised her principled commitment to undertaking pro bono work. She has a background working for international human rights organisations in refugee contexts, and understands the importance of assisting vulnerable clients who are not able to access lawyers or funding.
Lucy has become a trusted mentor at Garden Court North, taking on the role of pupil supervisor for the last three years. She has encouraged and mentored all three of her pupils to undertake pro bono work, particularly in relation to refugee family reunion cases either through university law clinics or charity organisations.
