NWHLP event: Private Landlords & Article 8 Defences

James Stark is a barrister at Garden Court North in Manchester, where he specialises in housing law, discrimination, judicial review and human rights.  He will consider the most recent jurisprudence with regard to Article 8 and public law defences to possession claims and in particular will discuss the potential impact of Article 8 defences in claims brought by private landlords and in respect of mandatory possession grounds introduced by the Anti Social Behaviour Crime and Policing Act 2014.
