Switalskis’ Mental Capacity Act – Annual Review 2025

Garden Court North’s Ben McCormack will be speaking at Switalskis’ ‘Mental Capacity Act – Annual Review 2025’ on 8 October in the Queens Hotel, Leeds.

The all-day event will see a range of speakers addressing trending topics relating to the Mental Capacity Act 2005 in the Court of Protection, from children’s Article 5 rights to litigation capacity.

As Deputy Head of Chambers and part of Garden Court North’s COP team, Ben will be unpicking the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS), the framework for depriving someone with a mental disorder of their liberty in a care home or hospital.
