The Law in 60 Seconds Public Legal Education Conference
Garden Court North Chambers barrister, and founder of The Law in 60 Seconds, Christian Weaver has joined forces with The Defendant charity and The University of Manchester to deliver a public legal education conference.
Tickets to attend the in-person event are free, however organisers are suggesting a donation of £5-£20 to The Defendant with every ticket purchase. Tickets to live stream the event virtually are £15. Those who attend virtually will receive links details after registration and closer to the event.
All proceeds will go towards funding The Defendant’s work providing emotional and practical support for Defendants accessing their rights.
The event, hosted by The Defendant and The University of Manchester, is said to be the first public legal education conference in the UK. It will take place at the Roscoe Building on 14 May, 2022 from 10am until 4pm.
Capacity is strictly limited for the in-person event, so book early to avoid disappointment.
