Joe says: ‘I am extremely pleased to join Garden Court North Chambers as an associate member and look forward to supporting the work of a set with an enduring commitment to widening access to legal representation and protecting rights through justice. In joining such a prestigious Chambers, I hope to foster closer ties between legal academia and the Bar, to create collaborative links between human rights and civil liberties practitioners and academics in the North of England, and to contribute my own research expertise in human rights and state surveillance in appropriate cases. I also hope this partnership can facilitate widening participation initiatives between Garden Court North Chambers and the University of Sheffield, by creating opportunities for students from diverse backgrounds to gain insights into the important work of Garden Court North barristers.’
