Garden Court North is delighted to announce that Bethany Currie and Misha Nayak-Oliver have accepted invitations to join Chambers following successful completion of pupillage.

Beth has a multi-disciplinary practice spanning protest rights, inquests, civil actions against the police, housing, and prison law. During her pupillage, she successfully secured acquittals for clients in various high-profile protest rights cases.

Beth’s pupillage supervisor Mikhil Karnik said: “I am delighted that Beth has joined us as a tenant. She has already shown through her practice and success in her work that she has developed courtcraft, deftly handling tricky situations.”

Misha has a multi-disciplinary practice across housing, homelessness, immigration and asylum, and social security, as well as working on international law and public law. During her pupillage, she successfully defended possession proceedings for several vulnerable clients in housing cases.

Misha’s supervisor Tom Royston said: “Misha has been a superb pupil. Legal aid law is lucky to have her. I’m delighted she has accepted our offer of tenancy and look forward to her continued success.”

Beth and Misha will join our specialist practitioners committed to Garden Court North’s ethos of fighting for justice through publicly funded work, offering representation to those disadvantaged by discrimination and inequality, or who have multiple and complex needs.

To instruct Beth or Misha, please contact our Practice Management Team: gcn@gcnchambers.co.uk or 0161 817 6377.
