Available to view now: Care in the time of COVID – Autumn 2021 update on the effect of COVID-19 on care home residents, issues of vaccination and Court of Protection practice
Restrictions on family visits and access to the community for residents of care homes during the COVID-19 pandemic have resulted in hardship and isolation for many. Rory O’Ryan and Elizabeth Mottershaw of our Court of Protection team will consider the prevailing position at the time of the seminar for those lacking capacity to make decisions as to residence and care, in particular:
(i) best interests decision making; balancing health risks to P and other residents vs package of care at home;
(ii) update on CoP decisions on medical treatment, including COVID-19 vaccination;
(iii) current Court of Protection practice and procedure in the light of the pandemic.
