House of Lords Statutory Inquiries Committee publish Public Inquiry report

The House of Lords Statutory Inquiries Committee published their report today on Public Inquiries and have recommended that a Parliamentary Committee be set up to monitor the long list of recommendations from multiple Public Inquiries and Coroners inquests that have not been actioned.

Earlier this year Pete Weatherby KC and Anna Morris KC gave evidence to the committee, explaining the significance of an Independent National Oversight Mechanism and the importance of a statutory duty of candour.
